It is a proud moment for all the Indians for the film Slumdog Millionaire has been nominated for around ten osacars. Slumdog millionaire a film directed by Danny Boyle from UK codirected by Loveleen Tandan from India is a film about a young boy( Jamal Malik) from the Mumbai slums. He participates in a competition similar to the famous Crorepathi "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" He just seeps through the contest and is just one question away from winning the anticipated contest. At that time police get a suspicion. How could a person from the slum could win such a game. so they suspect him of fraud and arrest him on the previous day of the final question.
Inorder to prove his innocence, Jamal recites the story of his life in the slum where he and his brother grew up. He narrates their adventures together on the road, their nasty encounters with local gangs, and the girl he loved and lost-----Lathika. Each part of his story brings out the key to the answer to one of the game show's questions. Each part of Jamal's increasingly layered story discloses where he learned the answers to the show's complicated questions. But one question always remained a mystery: what is this lad with no desire for riches really doing on the game show? When the final day dawns and he returns to answer the final question, the Inspector and sixty million viewers are about to find out. At the heart of the story lies the question of how everyone come to know about the things they know about life, love and passion.....
